Instinct Movement

Installation, Exhibition, 2015
Presented in the show, “Hongik University College of Art dept. Of Sculpture Graduation Exhibition”

Cement, Plaster, Fabric, Sound

I got inspiration from accumulated strata. While we cannot sense its movement, the immense energy of it has existed along with the geological history of the Earth. A white flexible fabric acts as a ceiling, which helps the work become a space. The sculptures are mostly made out of cement but with natural shape and surface, which people feel both artificial and natural beauty. An ensemble of slow tempo is created by different sounds from each mass, keeping the negative space of the sculptures moving.
